Workplace giving finds itself at a crossroads of major cultural shifts – remote work remains pervasive, companies are grappling with “returning to work”, the gig economy is growing, and donor behavior evolving.
These changes bring with them uncertainty and questions about how to foster inclusive, generosity-oriented workplaces and design programs and approaches that meet employees where they are. The Workplace Giving Working Group brings together leaders across the workplace giving ecosystem to address these questions together.
Members of this group convene to identify methods for amplifying the effect of workplace giving campaigns, providing more agency to employees in the giving process, and ultimately creating better outcomes for beneficiaries, employees, and employers alike.
A repository of research questions and problems relating to the cultivation of generosity in the workplace exploring topics of employee engagement, volunteering, and workplace giving, as well as information on work and experimentation to investigate or address these challenges. Submit a problem to contribute to the Workplace Giving Working Group Conversation.
Example datasets on trends in online giving, attitudinal and behavioral data about individual giving, and data on volunteering and support for nonprofit issues and causes. Additional dataset submissions encouraged to build the repository.
Resources, articles, publications, and other assets to be utilized by the sector to advance collaborative work on workplace giving. New submissions accepted from Working Group members on an ongoing basis.

GivingTuesday is proud to host the online version of RW Institute‘s 2023 Corporate Volunteering, Giving and Grants Technology Review. This comprehensive report, produced annually by the RW Institute, provides insights to help organizations make optimal decisions when procuring solutions for workplace generosity. For the first time, this rich dataset has been transformed into a digital display for seamless comparison of vendors and attributes.
